As producers, we all know how important it is to have a great-sounding bassline. On-call 24/7, MODO BASS 2.0 offers the realism and sound of a sought-after instrument being played by a master musician, but with the convenience of a plug-in virtual instrument.
Start with the stock pickup or pickups for each bass model and set the volume balance independently for each. Want a different pickup in the neck position No problem. There are 32 individual pickup models to choose from, each with its own tonal characteristics and personality. You can also freely move the pickups around in the pickup area providing you with virtually limitless options. Experiment with different pickups, different pickup positions and different playing positions all at the same time. With MODO BASS, you can create combinations that would be virtually impossible to accomplish without a lot of solder and wiring adjustments!
Adjust the overall pickup output with the tone control, just like the tone control on the physical bass. You can switch the electronics from Passive to Active, and doing so gives you access to an additional parametric EQ that lets you fine-tune your tone for the perfect balance.
MODO BASS offers 22 unique bass instruments to create exactly the right bass sound for your music. Under the MODEL tab you can browse through the different basses. MODO BASS 2.0 has expanded options with the addition of 2 fretless basses, 2 double basses and the freedom to make any bass a fretless*.
When the first version came out, I started using it immediately in preference to some sampled bass libraries I had on hand. It takes a very small amount of space while offering a very realistic sound.
The first version of Modo Bass offered 14 different bass models. Now we have 22 models in total. Make no mistake, they all sound very realistic. As a result, all you need to do more or less is to browse through the models and find the one that matches the general color of your song.
The biggest improvement in version 2, at least for my purposes, is the Pattern section, where we can find a great number of different patterns with more than user-friendly search filters sorted by Genre, Section, Playstyle and Length. It would be just perfect if there would be a bit more patterns for the fretless bass models.
While many of us may have a dusty old bass kicking around in our home studios, and naively assume that laying down an adequate bassline is a quickish job, getting a solid and considered bass tone, and refining the detail and impact of our basslines can steer a track into a much more professional-sounding sphere.
Among the eight new model offerings are an electric fretless Jazz and a Rockabilly-style upright bass for those late-night shindigs. With such a smorgasbord of bass options, you are sure to find a decent tone for all types of track.
IK provides numerous ways to perform, edit and mould your rhythm section with these basses. Via seven distinct views, users are granted the ability to choose the model, adjust the play style, select string type, augment the pickups and internal electronics, situate virtual mics in front of your virtual cab, and select from a range of preset bass patterns and adjust your control settings.
Spending some time with the brand new Patterns browser reveals a sample library-like navigation system, with oven-ready bassline types organised by genre, key and play style. The ability to quickly check out different bass parts provides one of the shortest routes to solid rhythmic starting points.
In contrast to other bass makers which only offer basic approaches to their samples, IK allows your virtual fingers to touch its four-stringed arsenal in a variety of different ways, from the straightforward Finger-led approach to a metal and funkadelic Slap mode. Punkier, more garage-rock players might want to opt for a Picked style, while Mute allows you to dial in more damping to the tone of any aforementioned style. This is an instant silencer to those who scoff at the abilities of virtual instruments to capture the character of genuine players.
As a producer, you want the best possible bass sound you can get... you want realism, credibility and authenticity that delivers the most accurate and inspiring performance. Sometimes you just can't hire the right bass player, and some virtual instruments out there can leave you flat and uninspired.
Pleasantly surprised, so easy to find the right sound to fit any style of music, even if you tune low (you can switch how many strings, and even how these basses are played (finger, pick, slap, etc). With the right EQ i've made the Rickenbass PUNCH on my heavier metal chunkages.
With this plugin, you can get access to 22 bass guitars as of 2022, with various adjustments and changes that can be made to make the sound the way it suits your goal. In this MODO Bass review, we will scrutinize this top-notch bassline synthesis plugin that allows you to get a realistic virtual instrument sound.
As I said earlier, this plugin is a masterpiece from the bass world. With great flexibility, it easily takes the place of one of the greatest plugins simulating bass guitars. It was also very easy to get into since it is well designed, so both amateurs and professionals will find their way with it.
The reports I see showing the incredible number of people who bought it yesterday beg to differ. We have audio and video demos available for all the basses. And of course to go through this yet again: you are not \"paying again\" for everything.
This feature seems to make having to scroll past the new locked basses worth the extra effort, but the CS version might not have this feature. (I couldn't get it to work.) I'd be interested in knowing if anyone can add user bass MIDI files.
IK Multimedia focuses on modern producers and composers who want the highest quality bass in their music. That is why IK Multimedia has developed such a tool that combines realism, authenticity, recognizability and richness of sound.
Professional musicians, bassists and composers participated in the development, and the total time that the company took to create the product is more than 8 years. String customizationIK painstakingly studied and recreated all the factors that affect string tone and performance. Players can choose the number of strings on the bass, the construction type and material of the strings (round or flat wound), the gauge and age, plus the physical action height of above the fretboard. It is possible to choose the number of strings on all the models (4, 5 or 6) to determine the note scale range of the bass. In MODO BASS any 4-string model can be turned into a 5 or 6 string bass at a click of a mouse. The DROP option tunes the lowest string one note lower, bringing it from E to D (or from B to A in the case of a 5 or 6 string setup). Apart from extending the range of the bass, this reduces the tension of the string giving it a unique behavior and tone. DROP tuning is typical in Hard Rock and Metal. 781b155fdc
